Are you a fan of Mad Men? Do you ever wish you could travel to the 60's and experience the mod life?. Well, I have good news and bad news. The bad news is time travel isn't possible at this time. [Mind you, Tupac Shakur did just come back from the dead so anything is possible.] The good news is, you don't actually have to go back in time. You just have to buy a ticket to Palm Springs and reserve a room at the latest "it" hotel chain - Ace Hotels.
From New York to Portland, the hotels are designed for people who love aesthetics and ambiance (not to mention great amenities and attention to detail). From re-purposed furniture by hip designers to up and coming artists, Ace is changing how we experience hotels. It's not just about putting your head down to sleep after a long day of sight seeing. It's about taking you to a specific place and a time to make a nostalgic connection. The Palm Springs location may not be Don Draper's fave Ho Jo, but it captures a time gone by - perfectly. Just looking at these pictures, I could see Don Draper-esque characters lounging in mod shorts and peroxide blonde women chilling on surf boards. Cue Annette Funicello & Frankie Avalon.

Preparing for the ideal holiday can be difficult and especially when you have chosen to go somewhere new and interesting places. Though it is simple to keep going to the same resort in the same place again and again.
